Author Guidelines

a) About author responsability over the manuscript contents

The responsibility for the content of articles (manuscripts) submitted to the Journal Trends in Computational and Applied Mathematics is the responsibility of the authors. Although the information in this journal is believed to be true and accurate when published, neither the editors nor the editor can accept any legal responsibility for any errors or omissions that may be made. The publisher makes no warranties, express or implied, with respect to the material contained herein.

b) About references and bibliography

Bibliographic references must be made with the bibtex package, according to the instructions contained in the template.

c) Information about keywords or descriptors

On the first page of the manuscript, the author must provide, in accordance with the standards of Trends in Computational and Applied Mathematics, a title, name and full address for correspondence (including, if available, e-mail and/or fax addresses), a abstract in Portuguese, keywords, a version of the abstract in English and keywords in English (keywords).

d) About peer review

The analysis and approval of manuscripts submitted to the Journal Trends in Computational and Applied Mathematics - begins with the submission of manuscripts sent by the authors via the website (electronic submission). Once submitted, the Editor-in-Chief forwards these to the Associate Editors, who are responsible for forwarding the evaluation of these articles. The Associate Editors forward the articles according to the corresponding areas, to the Ad Hoc Reviewers. Each reviewer receives the complete submitted article, omitting only the identity of the authors, which guarantees blind peer review. A period of 45 days is stipulated for receiving the opinions to be sent by the Ad Hoc Reviewers. Each article is evaluated by at least two Ad Hoc Reviewers and, in case of disagreeing opinions, a third opinion is requested from an Ad Hoc Reviewer. Exceptional decisions rest with the Editorial Committee.

e) About author rights transfer

Submission of a manuscript implies that the work described has not been published before (except in the form of an abstract, preprint or as part of a published lecture, review or thesis), that it is not under consideration for publication in another journal, and its publication has been approved by all co-authors, if any. Authors own the copyright of published articles.

f) Information about publication languages

Trends in Computational and Applied Mathematics publishes original articles in Portuguese and English. Currently, the Journal has expanded its scope internationally. In this sense, authors must pay attention to the inclusion of the title, abstract and keywords in English in their manuscripts, in addition to presenting the article in Portuguese, following the rules of the Journal. These data become part of the requirements of Trends in Computational and Applied Mathematics, as it allows the articles to be consulted by researchers from Brazil and abroad.
