Variabilidade em Escala do Dossel da Floresta Amazônica: resultados para a Reserva Rebio Jarú-Rondônia

RESUMO: Neste estudo procurou-se determinar a existência de possíveis eixospreferenciais nos padrões da cobertura vegetal por escala no dossel da oresta
Amazônica, mais precisamente na área da Reserva Biológica do Jarú em Rondônia
(Rebio Jarú). Foi utilizada uma imagem do satélite de alta resolução (1x1 m), que
forneceu informações para a detecção de escalas características da copa vegetal via
uma metodologia baseada na aplicação da Transformada Wavelet Contínua Bidimensional
utilizando a wavelet de Morlet. Os resultados sugerem a existência de
possíveis eixos preferenciais de padrões da cobertura vegetal na área estudada e a
possibilidade de determinar qual o eixo e a escala em que isso ocorre com maior
intensidade.
