Movimento do Pólo Terrestre: Aspectos Físicos, Modelagem Matemática e Análises

O pólo terrestre está em constante movimento. Tal movimento ocorre pois o eixo de rotação da Terra varia com respeito à figura da Terra. Neste trabalho, primeiramente são discutidos os aspectos físicos do movimento do pólo. Posteriormente, as componentes desse movimento são calculadas geometricamente, utilizando um rigoroso desenvolvimento matemático. Além disso, também é descrita a matriz de rotação apropriada para calcular a transformação entre os dois sistemas (o sistema convencional fixo a Terra e o instantâneo que representa o movimentodo pólo). Finalmente, as coordenadas do pólo terrestre no período de janeiro de 2006 a abril de 2008 (parte medida e parte predita) são plotadas e analisadas.References
